We are already at the
end of this adventure. Doudou and Jean-Christophe leave the camp of the
camel-drivers and go back to the town, settled on Elbeït’s back.
“ But who is going to drive you back to the camp, asks Doudou to Elbeït?
- Don’t worry, says Elbeït, I know the desert like I know my own hump, I
will find my way back easily. The camel-drivers believe that we are in need
of them, but in fact it’s them who will be lost in the desert without us…”
