In Laos, we don’t eat only soup, we also eat a lot of rice. It’s a special rice which is called "sticky rice" because, once cooked, it becomes very sticky. Sticky rice is served in small baskets. Here no fork. We eat with hands by making small rice balls we mix with some meat or vegetables. But don’t do the same thing at home ! You would be scolded !
To protect from the sun, Laotians often wear peaked hats. Doudou would like to buy one but he didn’t manage to find his size. Fortunately, in the meantime, Valérie made one with a cardboard sheet and a rubber band.
